REKM recognizes the necessity of bringing awareness to bullying and violence towards others. Having a holistic approach to our training is essential. It is important that respect is instilled in our students when it comes to their training and the purpose it serves is. As a result, an Anti-Bullying component has been incorporated into the curriculum. Building upon the techniques and skills taught in the Middle School Program, students in The Teenager Program begin to train in other forms of martial arts as well. They will learn how to execute hand-to-hand, as well as, weapon defense techniques. In this Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) class, students will learn various fighting styles, from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Judo, Muay Thai, and Krav Maga. This program is for all teenagers and provides the students with transferrable skills that will support their growth and success in many areas of their lives. The Teenager Program provides tools that will help establish the foundation for a healthy lifestyle—socially, psychologically, and physically. Subsequently, students become more self-aware, develop higher self-esteem, and experience the true importance of camaraderie and teamwork.
Upon completion, students are ready to advance to The Adult Program.
